By car
If you are coming by car from outside, follow the signs for Essen-Zentrum and Philharmonie, regardless of whether you are coming from the A 40, A 42 or A 52 motorways. You can park in the Saalbau underground car park (daily charge €13.00) and in the Philharmonie underground car park (daily charge €6.00).

By bus and train
The Concerence Center is only a few minutes‘ walk from Essen’s main railway station. However, you can also take the train to the stops „Philharmonie/Saalbau“ (U11, tram lines 107 and 108) and „Aalto-Theater“ (tram lines 101, 105, 106), which are both just one stop away from Essen Central Station. You can find your individual connection for the railway at fahrplanauskunft.de and for Essen’s local transport services at ruhrbahn.de. All concert tickets for own events and subscription tickets for the Essen Theatre and Philharmonie are valid for travel on the VRR three hours before and after the concert – for the outward and return journey on the day of the event. If you are not sure whether your ticket is valid as a VRR ticket: This information must be printed on the ticket.
By plane
From Düsseldorf Airport – you can reach the Conference Centre by taxi in approx. 20 minutes. From Düsseldorf Airport station you can choose between four ICE lines (40, 45, 10 and 41), which will take you to Essen Central Station in just 22 minutes. Regional express trains (RE1, RE6 and RE11) and S-Bahn (S1) take only slightly longer.
